BEANS AND LEGUMESBeans are a great source of low-fat, high-fiber, high-quality protein. They are rich in many vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin E, selenium, and calcium. Beans add texture and flavor to soups, stews, salads, and casseroles, can serve as the central feature of a meal all on their own, and form the basis of many popular dishes such as hummus. We carry dried beans and legumes in bulk, including black beans, black-eyed peas, garbanzos, great northern beans, green and red lentils, green and yellow split peas, kidney beans, lima beans, navy beans, pinto beans, red beans, soybeans, and more. Most are organically grown. For your convenience we also carry organic canned beans from Eden. We will happily provide instruction on how to soak and cook dried beans, and we have many delicious recipes on hand to help you incorporate beans and legumes into your diet. |
