Dahl (Curried Lentil Soup)
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup red lentils
- 1 T grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 t ground cumin
- ½ t ground coriander
- ½ t ground tumeric
- ½ t ground cardamom
- 1 t sea salt
- 2 T lemon juice
Boil the water in a small stockpot and add all the ingredients except the lemon juice. Cook on low heat, stirring often, for about 45 minutes. Add lemon juice, stir, and serve.
